Wild Edibles Oyster Bar has evolved over time. Wild Edibles has been
a leading
wholesale supplier of hand picked specialties from the sea to New York’s
finest restaurants. After the success of our Grand Central retail store
we opened
the Murray Hill location in the summer of 2001. Originally the market
was set up
for take out only, but responding to the needs of the local community
a complete
renovation was completed in 2007.
Today, Wild Edibles Oyster and Wine Bar is known for boat fresh fish
that is proudly
displayed next to a large assortment of oysters and seasonal specials.
Wild Edibles has been in partnerships with the leaders of Ocean Conservation
since 2006. In addition we are known for a large selection of local area
wines and craft brewed beer. Drop on by and let our courteous and knowledgeable staff

Chef, Gavin Citron
Gavin Citron's
innovative cooking has earned him kudos at several ambitious
Manhattan restaurants such as Citron, Aleutia and Raphael. Citron now
looks forward to
sharing his formidable style of cooking with all of New York City's diners
at Wild Edible's
Seafood Bar, Grand Central Market and Catering.
Citron
began his career cooking at Lutece. The emphasis of their cuisine was
placed on
classic complex flavor profiles. A succession of notable restaurants followed:
Petrossian,
Luxe, Jojo and Arizona 206, were all establishments accomplished in fresh,
ground breaking techniques featuring an intense focus on natural flavors.
This proved to be the perfect supplement for Citron to embrace given his
strong foundation of classic cuisine.

Citron's experiences have made him adept in an evolving style of cuisine
that shines
through in the unique, clean flavors he creates in each dish. Citron offers
a distinct style of
cooking comprising the favorite flavors of today's most savvy diners.
